Arrive in Casablanca and visit the magnificent Hassan II Mosque, an iconic landmark blending Moorish influences and modern design. Stroll along the Casablanca waterfront. Explore the lively Place Mohammed V and admire the Sacré-Cœur Cathedral.
Casablanca – Rabat
Head to Rabat, Morocco's capital. Explore the Chellah necropolis (Roman and Merinid ruins), admire the unfinished Hassan Tower and Mohammed V Mausoleum, and stroll through the 12th-century Oudayas Kasbah overlooking the Bou Regreg river. Continue towards Fes.
Fes – The Labyrinthine Medina
With a local guide, dive into Fes, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Wander the maze-like alleys of Fes el-Bali — the world's largest car-free urban area. Immerse yourself in the sights and smells of the souks, watch the traditional leather tanning process, enjoy a panoramic view of the city, and discover the art of Moroccan mosaic in a local pottery cooperative.
Fes – Meknes – Volubilis – Midelt
Visit Meknes, the 18th-century Imperial City, famous for its massive ramparts and the colossal Bab Mansour gate. Explore the Sahrij Swani granary. Step back in time at Volubilis (UNESCO), with well-preserved Roman ruins. Drive through the Middle Atlas mountains to Midelt, a charming mountain town.
Midelt – Errachidia – Merzouga (Sahara)
Journey towards the Sahara Desert. Stop in Ifrane, the 'Little Switzerland' of Morocco. Watch for Barbary macaques in the cedar forests of Azrou. Lunch in Midelt, then continue through Errachidia and the Ziz Valley's palm groves to Arfoud and Merzouga, on the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes.
Merzouga Dunes – Ouarzazate
After breakfast, explore the Eljerf oasis and stop in Tinjdad. Lunch in the spectacular Todra Gorge. Continue through the Dades Valley with its extraordinary rock formations, and the Valley of Roses where Damask roses are cultivated for rose water and rose oil. Overnight in Ouarzazate, the 'Hollywood of Africa'.
Ouarzazate – Marrakech
Visit the UNESCO-listed kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou, backdrop for countless Hollywood productions. Cross the High Atlas via the spectacular Tizi-n-Tichka pass, admiring views of red mountains and Berber villages before arriving in Marrakech.
Marrakech Discovery
Guided tour of Marrakech: the Bahia Palace (masterpiece of Moorish architecture), Koutoubia Minaret, Saadian Tombs, and the captivating energy of Jemaa el-Fna square. Afternoon free to explore the labyrinthine souks before your departure transfer.
