Embark on a captivating journey from the bustling streets of Marrakech, weaving through a tapestry of charming hamlets and traditional Berber villages. The majestic Western High Atlas Mountains will rise before you, beckoning you deeper into their embrace. Our trek begins with a path that winds past the picturesque villages of Imlil, Arghen, and M’zzik. Each settlement offers a glimpse into the rich Berber culture, with their unique architecture and welcoming locals. As we venture onward, the landscape transforms into the breathtaking Assif Aït Mizane Valley. Here, marvel at the ancient irrigated terraced fields, meticulously crafted to sustain a bounty of fruit trees and vibrant vegetables. A true testament to human ingenuity and harmony with nature. Conquering the Tiz M’zzik mountain pass (2450m) will be a rewarding challenge, offering panoramic vistas that will leave you breathless. Breathe in the crisp mountain air as you soak in the awe-inspiring scenery. Our descent takes us through a fragrant juniper forest, eventually leading us to the charming village of Tizi Oussem. Here, we’ll rest our weary legs and immerse ourselves in the warm hospitality of a traditional village for the night.

Marrakech – Imlil – Azzaden Valley – Tizi Oussem
Your adventure begins with a scenic drive from Marrakech to Imlil, a Berber village nestled in the foothills of Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa. Along the way, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of the mountains and valleys. After breakfast in Imlil, you’ll embark on your trek, following a well-maintained trail through the Azzaden Valley. This valley is known for its lush green fields, traditional Berber villages, and stunning waterfalls. Enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by a Berber family in a traditional mudbrick home to learn about Berber culture. In the afternoon, ascend the Tizi Mzik Pass for panoramic views, then descend to see the Tamsoult Cascades before arriving at Tizi Oussem (1,850m) for dinner and overnight in a traditional gite.
Tizi Oussem – Imlil – Marrakech
On the second day, you’ll trek back to Imlil, following a different route that offers equally stunning views. Along the way, you may visit other Berber villages and explore the local handicraft scene. After lunch in Imlil, you’ll be transferred back to Marrakech, where your adventure ends. (Note: The difficulty level of the trek can be adjusted to suit your fitness level).
