Daily Expedition.
Marrakech – Tichka Pass – Ouarzazate – Tagdilt
Early departure to Ouarzazate via the Tizi N'Tichka pass. After discovering the Dadès Valley and its thousand kasbahs, we drive south through a desert plateau to the village of Tagdilt. Overnight with locals at 1,650 m. Approx. 6 hours driving.
Tagdilt – N'Iferd Pass – Irefd – N'Ouarg Plateau (2,250 m)
We watch the mules being loaded before setting off. We cross a vast plateau and ascend to the Tizi N'Iferd pass (2,400 m) with beautiful far-reaching views of the central High Atlas. Then we descend to the Iferd plateau and set up camp at 2,250 m — a spot often crossed by the semi-nomadic herders of Aït Atta. Approx. 5 h 30 walking. Night in tents.
Almou N'Ouarg – Kouaouck Summit (2,600 m) – Igli (1,700 m)
We start with a fine climb to the Kouaouch summit (2,600 m) — no technical means required. Our cook brings us the picnic. Descent via Tassegdelt. Overnight in tents at Igli (1,700 m). Approx. 5 h 30 walking.
Igli – Afourar Gorges – Bab N'Ali – Ighazzoun Oasis
We descend through the Afourar valley which gradually becomes gorges, passing the small oasis of Bouallouz and arriving at Ousdidene. The landscape then opens onto a vast plateau dominated by the peaks of Bab N'Ali. After the climb through the famous gateway, we continue to the Ighazzoun oasis. Overnight in tents. Approx. 5 hours walking.
Ighazzoun Oasis – Tifdassine – Handour
Departure at 8:30 am over the small Tifdassine pass, followed by a long descent through the beautiful valley of the same name. Lunch under the almond trees. We continue to the village of Handour. Overnight in tents.
Handour – Ighazzoun – Agdez – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
After thanking our mule team, a short track leads us to the town of Nkob, then Agdez, before crossing the Tichka pass. Lunch after the pass. Arrival in Marrakech in the afternoon. Approx. 7 hours transfer.

Essential Advice.
To ensure your journey is as seamless and enjoyable as possible, here are some key insights from our local experts.
Cultural Etiquette
Morocco is welcoming but conservative. Dress modestly (shoulders/knees covered) when visiting villages or rural areas to show respect.
Best Time to Go
Spring (Mar-May) and Autumn (Sep-Nov) offer the best weather. Summers can be hot in the south, while winters see snow in the Atlas.
Currency & Tips
Cash is king in remote areas. Carry Moroccan Dirhams (MAD). Tipping (5-10%) is customary and appreciated for good service.
