YOUR JOURNEY

Daily Expedition.

Day 1

Marrakech

Our driver will meet you at the airport and take you to your accommodation — a typical riad in the medina of Marrakech. The rest of the evening is free to discover Marrakech. Night in a riad.

Day 2

Marrakech – Taliouine

After breakfast, transfer from Marrakech crossing the High Atlas via the spectacular Tizin'Test pass (2,100 m). Lunch en route before arriving in Taliouine (1,063 m), famous for saffron production and the great El Glaoui kasbah. Free time to explore. Dinner and night in guesthouse.

Day 3

Day 4

Akhfamane – Ti N'Iddr (1,684 m)

Trek from Akhfamane to Ti n'Iddr following a path back up the valley through the ancient village of Mazwad (1,441 m). Beyond Mazwad the valley narrows into a gorge before arriving at the charming village of Ti n'Iddr with its remarkable kasbah, mosque and agadir. Night in tents.

Day 5

Ti N'Iddr – Tegragra (2,650 m)

Trek along the Assif n'Wamrane valley through increasingly dramatic and remote terrain. We climb steeply to the hillside village of Atougha with tremendous panoramic views, then continue to the magnificent summer pastures of Tegragra (2,650 m). Herders here still practise seasonal transhumance. Night in tents near a water source.

Day 6

Tegragra – Jebel Siroua Summit (opt.) – Waterfall Camp (2,400 m)

Optional ascent of Jebel Siroua (3,305 m) and Jebel Guiliz (2,905 m), followed by descent via the Assif n'Aïtou'Byal valley to the Waterfall camp (2,400 m). Alternatively, descend directly from Tegragra to the Waterfall camp. Night near the river.

Day 7

Waterfall Camp – Tislit Gorges

We descend the valley from the Waterfall camp through the charming village of Tizgui (2,200 m), stopping to visit its impressive fortified granary, then continue to the surreal rock formations and green palms of the Tislit gorges. Night in tents.

Day 8

Tislit Gorges – Souk Larba – Aït Ben Haddou

We continue to the village of Tislit, then cross open landscapes of cultivated fields and wild flowers to Souk Larba (1,675 m). Transfer by road to your accommodation at Aït Ben Haddou via the scenic route. Approx. 4 hours driving. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

EXPERT TIPS

Essential Advice.

To ensure your journey is as seamless and enjoyable as possible, here are some key insights from our local experts.

Cultural Etiquette

Morocco is welcoming but conservative. Dress modestly (shoulders/knees covered) when visiting villages or rural areas to show respect.

Best Time to Go

Spring (Mar-May) and Autumn (Sep-Nov) offer the best weather. Summers can be hot in the south, while winters see snow in the Atlas.

Currency & Tips

Cash is king in remote areas. Carry Moroccan Dirhams (MAD). Tipping (5-10%) is customary and appreciated for good service.
